MTC Lab is one person building software in Finland. One half watches public money, public registers and public power, so one person can see what is happening without asking anyone for it. The other half hands one person the output of a studio.
Same rule behind both: build it like it's for friends.
Public information already belongs to you. It gets published, and then it gets buried. These read the registers every day and tell you when something moves.
Finnish public registers
vahti.org
The estate's watchdog. Grants, procurement, municipal spending, company filings, product recalls, roadworks and fibre rollouts, watched across Finnish public sources and sent to you when your search matches. Free where it has to be free.
EU institutions Under work
vigla.org
The same watch, one level up: grants, sanctions, medicines, recalls and tenders across EU registers, in English. Sections are going live one at a time rather than all at once.
Nordic housing market
asuntodata.net
The housing market with the curtains open: what homes actually sold for, by postal code, with the method published next to the number. For the buyer who refuses to negotiate blind.
Same engine, other markets: Boligdata (Denmark)·Bostadsdata (Sweden)
The whole studio, one pair of hands. Games to play in two minutes, and tools that used to need a team, a budget or permission. Everything below runs in a browser.
Daily games
gamecove.games
Fourteen daily guessing games - ships, cathedrals, volcanoes, airliners and more. New every morning, done in two minutes, streak optional.
Learning
facet.mtclab.net
A skill tree for things worth actually knowing: aviation, birds, geography, maths, science, code and K-pop. Levelled like a game, but the knowledge is real.
Game assets
forge.mtclab.net
Sprites, tiles, audio, textures and effects, generated in the browser from one shared engine. Yours to keep, no account, no watermark.
Personal sites · part of forge
pageforge.mtclab.net
Pick a theme, fill in who you are, download a finished website. No hosting bill, no builder subscription, no lock-in.
File tools
keeplocal.tools
Merge, split, reorder and compress PDFs. The work happens in your browser, so the files never reach a server - ours or anyone's.
MTC Lab is named after a group chat - old friends who first met around a tent on a hike, and have been walking, paddling and sitting by cabin fires ever since. What the letters stand for stays in the chat.
What they stand behind is simpler: make things the way you'd make them for friends. Sources named, methods published, numbers that agree with themselves, and nothing charged for that ought to be free. That's the whole idea.
